Generals’ deadly games put Pakistan in danger

By Habib R. Sulemani

I have a sincere advice for the military establishment: refrain from dirty politics otherwise face the worst at the hands of the furious politicians, who remained silent for over six long decades but now are ready to burst out like a volcano… Generals! Respect democracy and democratically elected public representatives – in particular senators, members National and Provincial assemblies no matter how foolish they seem to you... it is not your job to judge public representatives... they are your boss and as good soldiers, it is your duty to salute them and obey their orders. You are public servants; try to understand the terms and conditions of your services. Never try to act like masters... if you want to live with a shred of dignity in the changed world!” [Updated]

Due to undemocratic attitude
of generals, Pakistan suffers
from a deadly disease. Things
could be better only if  the
 generals change their attitude.
WHY the new generation in Pakistan says that the generals are actually dumb stupid animals instead of professional soldiers?

The answer is very simple: because these phony generals are involved in crimes against innocent citizens and they foolishly depend on conspiracy theorists and rumor-mills to hide the blood stains on their uniforms. They don't know that nothing is hidden from the public in the second decade of the 21st century.

The worst thing is that the generals try to pose themselves as custodians of Islam and brains of the Muslim world. Under this pretext, since the so-called independence, these cruel generals have been gang raping this unfortunate nation state known as the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

Don’t laugh out loud!

Forget the fewer in Mercedes-Benz and BMW... try to see tears of the 180 million helpless and poor people in Pakistan!

The generals want people to take them for granted even today when they have been exposed completely. However, when people like me, who want to show them mirror, are declared traitors and enemy agents... but those who commit high treason, they get certificates of patriotism from the Supreme Court at gun-point! This is the easiest and traditional trick of the generals so that the terrorized people submit to their tyranny and oppression. They punish honest people who want a peaceful and prosperous democratic Pakistan as it is not their aim... these generals want an unstable and violent country so that they keep it cashing internationally.

The generals deliberately project the Pakistan Army as a messiah not a pariah! To promote a false image of the military, the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) use street-smart but intellectually bankrupt people, however, like their masters, they have also been exposed completely. Whatever crimes they both are committing by using the M3: mosque, madrasah (seminary) and media is now the focal point of the world.

The military establishment largely depends on those people who plagiarize new concepts with a jihadist angling... so the generals are helped by groups of lawyers, professors, diplomats and journalists. However, the final say is of no one else but the duffer generals... all of their paid experts have to tailor themselves according to their (generals) tiny brains. In the company of some learned people, the generals try to copy them by repeating certain jargon especially on the media... but actually they are like a desi (South Asian) parrot that has learned to abuse people in a funny way!

The military reportedly spends billions on the futile exercise of improving its public image and spreading rumors about those who advocate for a real democracy in the country. The generals have created a confused society with a betrayed generation which is not only making Pakistan suffer but also affecting the stability of the world at large especially North America and Europe. Thus the global aid and taxpayers’ money both are being used in a criminal way for the new phase of a hidden jihad as there is no accountability of the military.

I think the generals have lost their ability as professional soldiers due to two main reasons: 1) Undemocratic, biased and fascist attitude; 2) Dependency on proxies, especially militant groups including the Taliban and al-Qaeda whom they’ve shamelessly declared strategic assets.

In the changed world, the military establishment is still working with the traditional desi mindset. As a part of the sick Fauji (military) culture, every Army Chief intellectually relies on the so-called jihadist retired generals like Gen. Mirza Aslam Beg and Lt-Gen. Hamid Gul ghosts of former military dictator Gen. Zia-ul-Haq. These evil minds run different propagandist brigades in the media, religious and political parties. These strategically extremist generals have highly polluted educational institutions, media and other spheres of life, making a youthful segment of the society more dangerous than the stolen nukes.

Currently, as a part of the ongoing militarization and Talibanization program of the General Headquarters (GHQ), Gen. Aslam Beg is being used to influence the urban Sindh or the Urdu-speaking Mohajir people while Lt-Gen. Gul covers the Pashtuns and Punjabis... rest of Pakistan is considered a herd of sheep that can be manipulated according to a given situation!

The saddest thing in this episode is that the military establishment has fixed a huge fund out of the national kitty for the foolish rumor-mills and conspiracy theorists – named as think tanks that have created a confused society, and have divided the nation on racial and sectarian grounds. They are fanning extremism to get benefits at the cost of the people and country.

But who will tell the generals that they are playing a deadly game with Pakistan just for their personal gain! Their paid teams of ambassadors, professors, lawyers, writers, journalists and intellectuals have told them that they’re wiser than Aristotle... so they have become blind to realize the reality... they can't afford a truthful criticism either.

The conspiracy theorists foolishly try to make the public believe that if Pakistani generals lost wars and are unable to defend even their own GHQ and Air Bases, it’s just because of the nexus of RAW, CIA and Mossad. Always blaming others is one of their deadly games.

Those who advise the military establishment to refrain from politics and businesses, and critically analyze militarized action during the past 64 years—they, as said earlier, are declared traitors and are directly or indirectly punished. Thus, besides financial corruption, intellectual bankruptcy has become a trademark of the generals.

Pakistanis are ashamed that the ISI and ISPR still depend on the outdated conspiracy theories of the ghosts of Gen. Zia—the son of a typical mullah who led prayers at a small mosque with typical interpretation of Islam. Today, the Pakistani system is neither based on Islam nor on the ideology of the Founding Fathers – especially Mr. Jinnah and National Poet Dr. Iqbal – the ideologue of the current Pakistan is a semi-literate unknown mullah... yes, you got it correctly... the father of the former military dictator.

Isn’t it strange?

Such is today's Pakistan!

Pakistan Army is facing embarrassment at home and abroad, and its actions have also brought embarrassment to the Pakistan Navy and Air Force in recent times. The reason is: military officers never get rid of The Kakul Syndrome even after attending universities and trainings abroad. The generals have become irreparably infested species... their attitude is the greatest threat to the existence of the country.

[By they way, the generals are a very interesting subject particularly for sociologists and social psychologists. But, unfortunately, no detailed study has been made so far in this regard except some cheap journalistic books, mostly sponsored by the military juntas to understand the genesis of global terrorism.]

Due to the unprofessional and undemocratic attitude of the military establishment, Pakistan is suffering from a deadly disease! Things could be better only if the almighty generals of the Almighty Allah change their traditional attitude towards the civilian majority and country.

As I have said in a previous post (Gen. Kayani may replace President Zardari after elections) that General Kayani's eyes are clearly on the Presidency like any ambitious Army Chief. Both Lt-Gen. Shuja Pasha (ISI chief) and Maj-Gen. Athar Abbas (ISPR boss) seem determined to make General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, NI(M), HI, President of Pakistan... they can also craft extensions of services... it is a matter of life and death for them... so they are trying to save their big boss and themselves from the long awaiting legal actions…

Therefore, things could be worst for Pakistan in the future!

I have a sincere advice for the military establishment: refrain from dirty politics otherwise face the worst at the hands of the furious politicians, who remained silent for over six long decades but now are ready to burst out like a volcano…

Generals! Never try to act like masters... if you want to live with a shred of dignity in the changed world!

I know, criminal-minded generals never tolerate those who want the military to abide by the Constitution of the country, but I have given the advice as a well-wisher of Pakistan and the people of Pakistan, because three generations in my family have sacrificed for this nation since 1947.

Goodbye!

You have serious military phobia, I am not an admirer of military either and often write against it.

But at the same time I feel proud about the glorius Pakistan Armed Forces. If I criticize then at one point in time I also salute the Corp Commanders and COAS. they are our leaders. they have given their blood for us.

So open your eyes and get out of your house.
