Emdadul Ha...A discussion on this post on LinkedIn:

Emdadul Haque: Cricketers always prefer peaceful coexistence. The problems are with the politicians and some fanatic people. Otherwise there is no problem to build up a friendly relationship between the two countries--India and Pakistan.

Rehman Pakistani: Yes, Emdad. But the politicians in Pakistan are just puppets... the real power is in the hands of the military establishment. And they make money out of conflicts.

Sudhir Gopal: Let us hope, at least our coming generation have the guts to change from its prejudice and transform the two nation to a new level where people trust each other and trade with each other, where our leaders concentrate on poverty and education and not towards enmity between each other. Let us hope our people have the magnanimity to give and help each other. Let us hope that we will recognize one day that we are brothers and not enemies. Let us hope that we recognize one day the old sayings.. unite we stand and divide we fall... People has the power to change and transform. Let our brothers and sisters have the wisdom to do the right thing.

Emdadul Haque: Sudhir,Your comment is very much constructive and that should be the way of thinking for the citizens of both the countries. Enmity can never benefit any country. Both can gain a lot if the leaders change their attitude and build up cordial relationship forgetting the past.

Rehman Pakistani: Sudhir and Emdad have made me think: if a person from India, another from Bangladesh and a third from Pakistan can talk about peace then why our leaders can't take peace initiatives to end poverty and ignorance in South Asia, and bring an end to global terrorism. So let's hope for the best. Otherwise, as The Terrorland post, says: "...we want to tell both the Indian and Pakistani civilian and military leadership that peace is the only way to keep the current political setups and geographical statuses intact in the coming times."RPnoreply@blogger.com
